Mission Street pole with layered flyers

Walking down Mission Street. Guy in a hoodie, taped-up bag, stapling a flyer to a pole. Not casual. This is his job.

The pole has layers. Mushroom delivery with a QR code. A music event. And then: a flyer advertising professional flyer hanging for artists and small businesses.

Someone saw that local businesses won’t do their own physical distribution and built a micro-service around it. Manual, hyperlocal, unkillable by algorithms.

I’d been frustrated about LinkedIn reach that morning. Then I walked one block and saw distribution solved with a staple gun and telephone poles. Repeat daily.

The physical version has clearer ROI.
